Equi-Bow offers you the only equine bodywork program that brings together Bowen, CranioSacral, Myofascial Release, and Feldenkrais-based techniques, as well as tack fitting, balanced hoof protocols and anatomy, to provide one of the most innovative and complete modalities available.
Equi-Bow may well be one of the single most important tools we have to facilitate the healing of the whole body. Held patterns of pain and physiological dysfunctions are removed by restoring the body's structural integrity.

your equi-bow session
Each practitioner will have a unique approach to their sessions. All students and practitioners are taught professionalism, ethics, and boundaries. We strive to ensure all our practitioners graduate with a solid foundation of equine behavior, two-way communication, and respect for their equine & human clients.
The Equi-Bow technique is taught as a light touch using fingers, thumbs, or the hand, creating a deep connection with the superficial fascia and underlying structures. After a series of moves are made, the practitioner moves away from the horse for a “pause” of a varying length of time.
This pause allows the horse’s body to absorb the message sent by the moves and allows the practitioner to observe the horse and determine if further action is required. Hands-on work usually lasts between 45 and 60 minutes per session. Sessions consist of:
Collecting a history of your horse
Static & Dynamic Assessment of Horse
Application of necessary Equi-Bow protocols based on assessment & history
Discussion of any relevant insights, notes, homework, & answering owner questions
Horses often appear deeply relaxed and at ease during and after a session. One can usually feel increasing warmth and a change in tissue tension. When restrictions and misalignments of the fascia and tissue are released, performance and overall body functionality is optimized. Equi-Bow has been seen to address many structural, physiological, performance, and behavioural issues.
After your horse’s session, the nervous system and body will continue to integrate the message over the following five to ten days. For this reason, it is optimal to plan Equi-Bow sessions around all other kinds of bodywork, farrier, or dental work, as this may interfere with the subtle nerve impulses that are reprogramming the body.
